The Maraka festival is held annually in the township of Ingham in NQ and is celebrating its
52nd Anniversary in 2011!
The Festival for 2011 will be revisiting past favourites of the events and introducing new and exciting events for you to enjoy. With the 2011 Theme for the festival being "Wet, Wild & Wonderful", and many schools, businesses and local service clubs already hard at work, the 2011 Maraka festival will certainly have a function for you to enjoy. Expect to see faces from every year of the festival throughout the fortnight of activities and many visitors to the beautiful Hinchinbrook region.
The Maraka festival is presented by the service clubs of Ingham. "It is our chance to give something back to the community that has supported us throughout the year". The service clubs involved are the Apex Club of Herbert River, Rotary Club of Ingham, Lower Herbert-Halifax Lions Club, Rotary Club of Herbert River and Lions Club of Ingham.
